What are your service areas?

We offer piano tuning services within a 5-mile radius from our music school, located at 4211 Grand Ave., Western Springs, IL.

If you are located farther than 5 miles away, please add on a $25 Travel Fee to your booking.

Why is regular piano tuning necessary?

Tuning your piano is essential to maintain proper sound quality, prevent structural damage, and prolong the instrument’s lifespan. Regular tuning ensures that the 220+ strings, which hold immense, shifting tension, stay in tune, protecting the soundboard and pinblock while enhancing your playing experience. Tuning at least once or twice a year is recommended to keep the instrument in top condition.

How often should I have my piano tuned?

We recommend tuning your piano every 6 months to maintain optimal sound quality and performance.

What types of pianos do you service?

We offer tuning on maintenance on all types of acoustic pianos, including uprights, baby grands and grands.

How long does a tuning session take?

A typical tuning session lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the piano’s condition and any additional services required.

How much does piano tuning cost?

Our piano tuning services start at $175.00. Prices may vary based on the condition and services needed to get the piano into optimal condition.

What should I expect during a tuning session?

Our technician will assess your piano, make necessary adjustments, and ensure it is tuned to concert pitch. We also provide advice on maintenance.

We ask that clients are home for the entirety of the service but feel free to hang out in a different room while the technician is working.

What are your Piano Tuning Policies?

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will incur a $50 late cancellation fee. In the event that the client is not home at the time of the appointment, the technician will wait 10 minutes before departing and a $50 no-show fee will be applied.

Because the technician will not know what repairs are needed until seeing the piano, we cannot guarantee the total price of each visit. The intial payment is the starting rate for services rendered. Clients will be informed of and approve any repairs above and beyond the expected service before repairs are made and extra charges are applied.
