NIU Suzuki Strings Workshop
Suzuki students are invited to join their friends for an inspiring day of playing, masterclasses, musical activities and a recital. Students are typically scheduled for three one-hour classes during the day.

100-DAY PRACTICE CHALLENGE 2027
Students practice a set amount of time everyday for 100 days in a row. You may skip up to three days and make them up at the end. Students earn weekly prizes for having a good attitude at home and a trophy if they complete the challenge.

Viola & Violin Solo Recitals
Violin and Viola students perform in a recital at 2:30-3:30 or 3:45-4:45pm on Sunday, January 31st at Union Church of Hinsdale.

NFMC Junior Festival
Students of all ages and levels may participate in the National Federation of Music Club Festival on February 28 at Concordia University in River Forest.
Performance students will perform 2 solos from memory to receive comments from an adjudicator and points towards a trophy.
Music Theory students will take a written test to earn points towards a trophy.
Sign up through your teacher by mid-December.
The fee to participate is $55.00 per performance entry and $37.00 per theory entry.
If you are selected, the Honors Recital is the following Sunday.

MIC Suzuki Strings Workshop

Suzuki Workshops allow students and teachers to explore new ideas and strategies for fostering musical excellence and efficient technique, all in an atmosphere of discovery and joy.
