Exploring Music is a small group class for young musicians to learn the basics of music, explore beginning piano, refine their singing skills, and set the foundation for future music lessons and ensembles.

Your child will love the weekly play-based classes with our highly skilled teachers.

Pick 8:

Mondays 2:45-3:15pm

Tuesdays 11:15-11:45am

Tuesdays 12:30-1:00pm

Thursdays 5:15-5:45pm

Select 8 class times on your registration form between June 3-August 15, 2025.

Add extra classes any time a la carte.

$200 for an 8-class package

$25 non-refundable enrollment fee

Class Description:

Preschoolers ages 4-5 explore piano, singing, rhythm and music basics in our fun and engaging group class.

Exploring Music is a perfect introduction to music education, designed specifically for your child’s age and skills. Students will learn the order of the musical alphabet, black and white notes on the piano, sing songs, and learn to count rhythms, all in a play-based setting. 

No home piano or practice is required.

Adults are recommended to stay for class but not required. 

Grand Avenue students will be picked up and dropped off from their classrooms by our teachers.

Schedule Changes:

You may add, reschedule or cancel a class with 24 hours notice by submitting the form below.

Unattended classes or classes cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are not able to be rescheduled.

Students are scheduled for 8 or more summer Exploring Music classes upon the submission of the enrollment form.

Classes may be cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours notice before the originally scheduled class. Use our online reschedule form or contact our office to cancel or reschedule classes.

Class sizes may not exceed six students.

In the event of severe weather, for your safety, classes will be cancelled.

Tuition is refundable until June 3, 2025. The summer enrollment fee is non-refundable.

Unattended or classes cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are not subject to refunds, exchanges or reschedules. Exploring Music tuition expires on the last day of offered classes and is non-transferrable.

While we do not anticipate issues, Mattix Music Studio teachers reserve the right to excuse children with destructive, aggressive, excessively distracting or disrespectful behavior. Parents with high energy students should consider attending class with their child to assist their behavior as needed.
